Dr. BENSON WEKESA

Dr. Wekesa is a structural engineer with 26 years’ experience and related educational background in structural engineering. He is a registered professional engineer (PrEng) with Engineering Council of South Africa. He is also Accredited Timber Engineer with Institute of Timber Construction (ITC-South Africa) as well as registered with the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) as a Competent Person/Engineer. During the course of his career he has been involved in a variety of structural engineering projects throughout the industry, including civil structures, water retaining structures, industrial structures, commercial structures and multi storey buildings.

His experience includes the conceptual and detail design of structures in reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and structural steel, project implementation and management.  Dr. Wekesa holds a PhD in Structural Engineering. As an Engineer, Dr Wekesa has been accountable for design and detailing, of public structures including places of learning, health facilities, offices and private dwelling houses and other civil engineering infrastructures.
